Point blank period...Great food! Went there for the first time last night. I gave them 4 stars because they messed up my order and there was a long wait for them to correct it, but they gave me a free soup in exchange for the wait. I ordered the shrimp egg foo young for my mother and drunken noodle for myself and egg rolls. I thought it was a bit pricey for takeout but when I lifted my bags to leave they were HEAVY! Got home and opened the bags...enormous portions! Will have enough until Monday. And delicious, flavorful and on point! Will definitely be going back. Just hope the wait isnt long. *when I called to place my order, they told me it would be 30 to 40 minutes. It took about 40 mins and then with the error, it took a total of about an hour. Was a bit frustrated but the lady who works there and seems to manage the place was so nice, I couldn't really be too upset! Still I hope thats not the norm because I plan to become a regular customer!

China Taste has a GREAT lunch special. It costs about $7 per meal. My favorite is the general tso's chicken (they also add broccoli), white rice, with hot and spicy soup (free with the lunch special). What a deal!! The owners of the restaurant do all of the cooking, and it never disappoints! The only downside of China Taste is that the interior of the store is not designed for eating in the store. There are tables and chairs inside, but it is designed for "to go" orders.

Good selection, friendly staff, decently quick, not crowded, food was hot and tasty. The lunch specials before 3 pm are a good deal. Sushi, Chinese, Japanese.

I love China taste! The food is amazing! I have had issues with other Chinese places in the area with finding hair in food or inconsistencies etc. This one is very clean the people are very friendly and I've like everything I've tried so far! Only complaint is the food is a little pricey but it is well worth it!

I really could not complain about anything here except that it would be nice if they had some type of house tea. The food is made fresh with high quality ingredients and the perfect balance of spices. The employees are helpful and friendly. It is very clean and simple. i will definitely make this my go to for Chinese and Thai carry out!

This is one of my favorite places to get Chinese food. The owner is very nice and the food is always delicious. My husband gets the hot crispy beef. My kids love the sweet-and-sour chicken.

Best Chinese food in the area and extremely friendly staff! Have ordered from here multiple times and so far, every dish has been delicious. Favorites: Peking duck, Singapore rice noodles, crab rangoon. The chicken fried rice and orange chicken is also very good!

This a cool little spot for lunch. The lady who took our order was nice and quick plus the food was pretty good given the price point it is at. Also, the food came in to go containers that are easy to lock and take away. Sweet!!

Best Chinese food around. Excellent in quality and quantity. The owner is very nice person as well! The seating in the restaurant is very limited however the food is what matters. I highly recommend if you are seeking Chinese.

I think I was expecting better quality of food after reading all of the good posts. All food ordered was in the same brown sauce. The hot and sour soup had no taste and was watered down. The shrimp roll had one shrimp per roll and the noodle dish was saturated in brown sauce. The dishes that I ordered needed clear distinction, but if I was to be blindfolded and fed each of the dishes there would be a good chance that they all would taste very similar.

This place is a dead ringer for pachangas. Exact same concept. Menu descriptions are unpromising,

First time diners tonight. We are fans! Ordered 1 x shrimp pad thai, 1 x chkn pad thai, Singapore Mei Fun Curry & Tom Yum Vege Soup - very tasty, large portions - each entre was enough for at least two maybe 3 adults to share. Let me also congratulate them on the Tom Yum Vege Soup - It was FILLED with lovely veges. I'll be glad to give them a 5th star if they can keep up the good work :) Delish!!

This is some of the best Chinese food ice found in the Ellicott city area and of course it is reasonable priced. I like their low mein and fried rice especially. I always order their egg drop soup when I get their lunch special!

Simple take out joint. Tasty food. Large quantities. They have Thai food as well. Reduced a star because I saw a roach in there once when waiting for my take out.

This is one of my favorite places to get lunch while at work. The food is always hot, fresh and so good! My co-worker and I eat here atleast once a week. The staff is also very friendly! I've recommended this resturant to so many of our patients.

We have gotten carry out here a couple of times now and the food is always good, portions are quite large. Takes me two sittings to finish the Shrimp Egg Foo Young. Their Pan Fried Dumplings rock. The misses tells me they are extremely friendly when she comes in to pick up our order.

The Wife and I split an order of general tso white meat dinner. The food was fresh and tasty. This is much better quality than your average Chinese place. The restaurant was clean and the workers were beyond friendly. We will be ordering again

FANTASTIC! Every Chinese food place I have been to up here has been terrible and the rice in particular has been dry and tasteless. This place is different. The service was quick (took 10 min for my take out to be ready) and the rice is moist and flavorful and they put a TON of chicken in my fried rice. The staff was also friendly and the place seemed pretty clean. I highly recommend this place.

This is my new go to Chinese take out when I'm in the area. Waay better than fast wok (both in service and quality of food). The lady at the front is very nice and will remember the subtleties in your personality. They also have Thai food here too.

Just had my first meal from China Taste and it didn't disappoint. In the past, I have had a problem with inconsistent Chinese food in the area, and frankly some of the other Ellicott City Chinese takeout restaurant reviews were pretty scary. Especially considering I have eaten at most of the places reviewed. I'm happy to report China Taste was very clean, quick, and the ingredients were of high quality and fresh. I got the General Tso's chicken, which included steamed broccoli, and my wife had the Shrimp Mei Fun. Both were excellent. I would say my General Tso's chicken could have been more spicy, but that's my personal taste. I will definitely return for more!

Finally a Chinese restaurant worth shouting about in our part of Ellicott City. Food tastes great, portions are generous, price is right, and staff are kind. We have tried a lot of dishes from the standard Broccoli and Chicken to a more adventurous Jalapeño Chicken. All has been a hit. The lunch and dinner specials are a great deal. Enjoy!

Saw so many reviews and ordered fried rice from them.... One of the worse fried rice I had in Ellicot city!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
